Clay Cobb is a 2003 graduate of Auburn University where he recieved his Bachelor of Music Education Degree. Mr. Cobb has been a member of the faculty at Newberry High School since summer of 2006. Prior to joining the NHS family he was director of bands at Eastside High School in Gainesville, FL.

At NHS Mr. Cobb supervises the day to day activities of the NHS Band as well as other music classes. Mr. Cobb's duties include teaching the Newberry High School Band of Pride Marching Band, the Jazz Band, and the Symphonic Winds.

Mr. Cobb is also an internationally recognized arranger for wind band. Several of Mr. Cobb's arrangements have been performed on nationally televised broadcasts by the Auburn University Marching Band. Other performances include those by the Auburn Univeristy Symphonic Band, University of Arkansas Wind Symphony; as well as several high schools throughout the southeast and community ensembles throughout the United States and Europe.

Mr. Cobb is an active member of The Florida Bandmasters' Association, a former district chairman for the Florida Orchestra Association, and past chairman and coordinator of the Alachua County High School Honor Band. Mr. Cobb's other professional memberships include the Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity, MENC, and the International Trombone Association.

Mr. Cobb currently resides in Gainesville, FL with his beautiful wife Jessica and their dog Coda.
